One day in Queensland, Australia, while police officers were conducting a routine traffic check, a woman having outstanding warrants had to be arrested. During the proceedings of the arrest, the officers asked this woman if she had any items she wanted to declare. To the officers she handed her purse which contained a big surprise — a baby koala!

The woman explained to the officers that it was the previous night on the roadside that she had found the koala and that she had planned to take care of the animal by herself.

The police officers couldn’t let her go away with the koala because keeping such an exotic pet is illegal in general. Luckily, the officers succeeded in recovering the baby Koala safely without any incident and were able to take him to a safe place.
